Yes, we use Smart Update which allows users to test updating their website, its plugins, and its themes, without actually affecting the site. Smart Update creates a full clone of the website, runs a number of preliminary checks, updates the cloned website, and runs the checks again to see if the update has corrupted anything. The resulting data is made available to the website owner in the WordPress Toolkit UI, along with a number of Before and After screenshots for further visual comparison. The user can then make an informed decision on whether or not the update should be performed, and tell the system to either perform the update on the production website or remove it.
